ABOUT
Summoning 101 is a research game project exploring power mutation through genetic algorithms in a rougelite dungeon crawler setting. The player chooses a cultist to use at the beginning of each floor of a dungeon and if they defeat the floor boss, they get rewarded with a new cultist. They then choose two cultists, and the cultists use their powers to summon a new ally, combining their powers. 
Each cultist has a set of stats and an activatable ability, and whenever a new cultist is summoned, a genetic algorithm is used to combine and evolve the previous cultists' stats. This algorithm is design to scale up the power of the characters along with the dungeon's difficulty increasing. The character abilities can also combine to make new activatable abilities.
